Compliance
L.J. Shoji Co., Ltd. prioritizes patient and facility safety, data protection, and regulatory compliance in equipment removal, logistics, purchase, and sales. This page summarizes our approach for services including equipment removal.
1. Data erasure and information management
We handle data on workstations, imaging systems, and peripherals according to your facility policies and manufacturer procedures.
- We confirm erasure scope, method, and responsibility (facility / LJ) before removal.
- Documentation such as erasure certificates and work reports can be provided when required.
- Erasure is performed in the presence of facility staff, or in accordance with mutually agreed procedures.
- After removal, storage and transport are managed to prevent unauthorized access or leaks.
2. Site safety and work management
For large systems such as MRI, CT, PET-CT, and angiography, we plan safe removal based on corridor routes, floor loading, crane and low-bed logistics, and after-hours constraints.
- Site surveys confirm access paths, protection areas, and workable time windows.
- Patient and staff safety and clinical schedules take priority.
- Jigs, packing, and vehicle securing are defined across contractors and partners.
- Completion is confirmed with the facility before handover.
3. Licensing and legal compliance
Eligible modalities and destinations follow our business scope and licenses, including highly controlled medical device sales/rental and secondhand-dealer permits.
- Some cases require prior review depending on modality, destination, and facility conditions.
- PET-CT and similar systems involving radioisotopes or controlled areas are coordinated individually.
- Export cases are reviewed for regulations, customs, and destination requirements.
- Before contract, you can confirm whether the quote breakdown includes removal, transport, and documentation.
4. Manufacturer compliance
Each year we complete the compliance training and follow the resale guidelines set by each medical equipment manufacturer, and we strive to handle pre-owned equipment with attention to safety and reliability (see also our Business page).
5. Documentation and records
Contracts, work reports, license-related records, and export documents are stored and managed under internal rules. We accommodate facility-requested formats where feasible.
